This 8-Year-Old Has Opened A Small Bakery Business To Help His Mom Buy A New House
8-year-old Jalen Bailey just opened up a small bakery in his home in Fresno, California. Jalen’s goal? To save up enough money to buy a house for his mom.
“I guess I would wrap it into feeling overwhelmed with joy. I’ve always wanted to raise him to be a selfless individual,” Jalen’s mom, Sharhonda, said.
This kid’s not new to cooking, either. Sharhonda says that Jalen started baking when he was 6, and hasn’t wanted to stop since.
Jalen bakes cakes, cookies, tarts, and muffins all from scratch, which he sells on his website for anywhere between $5 to $15.
His mom helped him with the permits and website to make Jalen’s Bakery legit, and just the other week, he attended a local business mixer to meet with other bakers and organize a fundraiser for homeless kids.
For this young entrepreneur, things are just getting started, and we can’t wait for what Jalen does next.
